Bike Trips in 2023?

Who's lining up their adventures already? My calendar always fills up too quickly so I'm prioritizing some bike stuff. I just locked in an enduro race in Grand Junction, CO and a bucket list trip to Sea to Sky, BC with my son and a few buddies.

I was out in Squamish for a week earlier this year, and it was amazing! Been a few years since I was last in Grand Junction, but lots of good stuff out that way too. You probably know this already, but you can daytrip it to Moab from there.

I'm going to be in Monaco for work in February, flying in and out of Nice. It looks like there is tons of mountain biking all around Southern France, but I don't have any actual plans yet, other than sticking around an extra week. I could also see myself hitting Sedona again or CO/UT at some point in 2023.

I'd like to get to Bentonville and Asheville this year....and finally check Kingdom off my list on my annual VT trip.

I considered that Chasing Epic trip before I saw the price tag....yeah....a bit rich for my bones.

Shenandoah valley for Cinco de Mayo, Harrisonburg/Massanutten and Roanoke/Carvins Cove are on the docket, and gravel/MTB in the Scottish Carringorms for late summer during UCI world championships in Glasgow. This is a big year for bike travel for my crew.

Down to snowshoe in august for the world cup. And a week-long northeast bike park trip - thunder, highland, powder ridge and blue.

I considered that Chasing Epic trip before I saw the price tag....yeah....a bit rich for my bones.

Agreed on the Chasing Epic expense for sure but it's a college graduation / birthday present for my son so I can sorta justify it.

Met some people from Carbondale CO who said biking around there is amazing. So now I want to do that. I would also go back to Squamish/Whistler again. Or Sedona. Or Moab. Or Bend.

I absolutely see the appeal...having a bad route/ride on a trip where you have limited time is just crushing. Having a guide must be awesome. Is that the June trip with Jeff from Worldwide Cyclery?

We planned for that one but they were almost full when we tried to book. They were able to fit the 4 of us on a trip the week prior (and he gave us all a discount as well)

Man I'm still mapping out ski trips... But at least 1 kingdom trip, then another week at highland/kingdom with my 8 year old... Probably get down to @MissJR s house and and remind them why they don't have children 😂

Hoping to do the Trans New England enduro. Not a cheap event, but I'm not sure how many more years I can do an event like that. Unfortunately, my current work assignment (ironically - in New England) and its uncertain timeline means my ability to train for the event is somewhat questionable.

We brought a show shovel with us when we moved... So it's never going to snow here again.

P.S. got up into the 60s today and I rode in shorts and a short sleeve jersey and it felt like early spring. Don't hate.

Snow? We don't even have snow up here in NH... although there's a chance for some tomorrow. I didn't even bother to bring my skis for this trip.

Temps weren't quite up to 60 on Monday, but I was still riding in shorts and was not cold at all.

I don't have any big ticket trips planned this year...yet. I'll be making a few trips to Wheelmill/Ray's with the little bike and up north with the big bike once DH season starts. I guess you can say my big trip will be getting hubby back out riding this spring with a new bike.
