That's pretty much any discussion where someone asks an opinion. "I bought X, so therefore you should too."

@SpartaBard
Check with your insurance company, you may get 20% off Garmin or Wahoo products.
My horizon cut the edge products from the discount, still works for the watches though.

@SpartaBard The glitch issues with the Garmin head units don't seem to exist on the current units. They had issues earlier with the touchscreens sucking, that seems to be resolved. And even there, if not trying to use the maps the buttons of the 530 seem more than OK. Also a lot of issues people have is with early firmwares, Garmin definitely released stuff too early.

While there may be pluses to the Wahoo head units, it is a different ecosystem. I'm all-in on Garmin so I'll pay a little premium. Plus Wahoo doesn't have watches to compete.

And I could be wrong, but I think the Wahoo mount is basically the Garmin mount, mounted 90 degrees off.

I did see Garmin touchscreen issues discussed on dcrainmaker and it looked like it was an issue with the prior model.

thanks for the insurance idea.

My insurance, BCBS, also no longer gives a discount on the Edge line, only wearables. Oh well. Thanks for the idea though.

I was thinking of the standard rubber band mounts that come with the Garmin that can be mounted 90 degrees out...

Works great, no glitches, no touch screen snafus, configure via app, long battery life.

The only thing you have on Garmin here is the app configuration but then again, how often are you changing pages? Set it and forget it.

My 830 gets 15-20 hours of use before dying consistently, I use my sweat soaked gloves to move around Trailforks to navigate all the time and I don't even know what a glitch would be considered. It's been perfect.
