E2M program Rd 3, Wk 6, Day 5

Checking in a day early
Diet
Started the week with regular meal plan I.F. and approved foods. After a few hungry days and lower energy earlier in the week, added some sweet potatoes and brown rice. The hangry's went away. Added some Hammer Endurolytes in the morning as I was feeling thirsty, though I was drinking at least 1gal of water a day. Weighed in early because catching up with some of my dudes at a brewery this afternoon in Glenside, PA. Bill's Best Brewery and there will be a food truck on site, Babalouie BBQ. So this will be cheat meal #1. Cheat meal #2 will be a gathering Sunday afternoon with family to celebrate my mom finally retiring.

Exercise
After falling at Wiss on Sunday, took Monday to recover. Jumped back into circuits T/W/F. Did the #notarace at Belmont last evening. A pretty regular occurrence is seeing someone for the first time in a long time, saying "What's up (insert name here)?", and getting a puzzled look with a reply like "Hey, what's up?" Then a "Holy shit, I didn't recognize you!" Had a good night on the bike too. Chased and caught a few riders that were always faster than I was. Also had some chasers comment they tried to catch me and couldn't. I was on the rigid SS 32/20 and they were FS geared. Weekend weather looks iffy. Was going to do the MASS race at Neshaminy, but that place is not fun when conditions could be slippery.

Weight
1/2/22 Starting weight = 235.4
4/30/22 Current weight = 176.6
Diff: weekly down .8, total lost = 58.8
I'll take it as I'm trying to slow it down anyway. Activity level has increased somewhat and feeling tired, so trying to sleep a little more and recover. Road trip vacation coming up in 2wks too.

Wife is down 2ish lbs this week and 3lbs from her goal. Swimming is her favorite activity and has been doing a bit more now that the semester is over. She's pretty much eating similar to my maintenance plan, just smaller portions.
E2M program Rd 3, Wk 7, Day 6

Day late checking in,
Diet
Still following the maintenance plan. Have had a few more beers during non-cheat days. Busy week as I was prepping to not be at work this week. Heading north for a camping trip with my wife. A few days at Lake St. Catherine S.P. in VT, planning to kayak, mtb at Slate Valley Trails and some hiking. Then a few days at Great Sacandaga Lake in NY, Northampton Beach Campsite for more of the same. Planning to ride Peck Hill State Park. Had a cheat meal this afternoon with my parents for a Father's Day gathering.

Exercise
Did the week's circuits but it was a struggle. I'm tired. Think I'm still recovering from TSE. Had to pickup the camper at the dealer in Bucks County yesterday, so hit Nockamixon for a 2hr ride on the SS before heading to the dealer. Skipped The Challenger, didn't miss it.

Weight
1/2/22 Starting weight = 235.4
6/18/22 Current weight = 176.8
Diff: weekly up .2, total lost = 58.6
Looks like maintenance is working. Will stay on plan as best as we can during vacation week.

Wife is down a few more to 32lbs lost overall.

Week 23.5

Start: 208.3
Current: 184.1
Diff: 24.2
Last Week: +0.2
Goal: Low 170s

3.5 weeks since last check-in.
I've lost the momentum! Gotta get back to the better food and drink habits.
Good news is the weight has been stable.

Getting more riding in, and the events I've been managing/working have kept me on my feet for some long hours.
The riding seems better - more juice to get up hills and try to hang with a group.
Very little on the endurance front. Actually might go for a run this morning.

Wanted to let @Norm know I've made it through two Fun Monday rides in a row - although
a stubborn leak in the rear tire of my hardtail almost knocked me out last night, before leaving the parking lot.
It may have been the valve stem. And the fatbike is on the shelf right now - until later today anyway.
Gunna see the 29+ version next week.

Start:. 202#

First day of summer: 184#

Ride, do TM and disc golf instead of work.

206 today ... up 2 lbs from a low of 204. Lots of beer and eating over the past 3 weekends. Riding took a hit too because the kiddos are now out of school and taking up my free time. Good new is I've been hitting the weights more and my biceps are less flabby.

Went on a shopping spree ar Sierra trading post yesterday 7 t-shirts, 5 pairs of shorts , 2 bathing suits, underwear, sweat pants, and a dress shirt. Time to clean out my drawers and get rid of alot of large and extra large stuff to make room for the new stuff.
I have one pair of pants i think from when in was close to 300 (yes really) that I keep in the back of the spare closet - just as a reminder: Never again.

On a related note, my middle son who shares not just my looks, voice and personality at almost 20 years old has been on his own health and weight loss journey since December after tipping the scales at Xmas at 260. He did this all on his own, cutting out sugary drinks and crap foods and doing a lot of walking, plus using the Concept 2 rower we got a few months ago which was for both of us.

The other day he weighed in at 219 and was so happy to get below the 220's with probably 25 or so more to go (below 200 is the next goal). He had been inheriting all my former XL and XXL clothes and I was taking his L and some XL stuff, but now he's asking for some if it back. Your comment made me think about this since he also needed a whole new summer wardrobe.

I haven't been on the scale in a few weeks but I seem to be stable hovering between my normal ranges now that I am riding some events and bigger group rides/distances.

E2M program Rnd 4, Wk 1, Day 1

Back from vacation
Diet
Stuck to most of the plan while on the camping vacation trip with my wife in VT and NY. Packed prepped, and to be prepped food, to fit in the small fridge of the camper and extra went in the Yeti. Hit up the grocery store in Poultney, VT for re-supply before travelling to Northville, NY. Had a cheat meal that included bread, FF and beer in each town. If in Poultney, the only game in town is Taps Tavern. Good beer list and I highly recommend the crispy brussel sprouts and pork bahn mi sandwich. Also had a few well known VT beers and some bourbon while sitting around the evening campfire. Back on plan today.

Exercise
Pretty active week. Before the trip, lots to do around the house. Travelled up on Monday. Setting up camp is exercise. Rode 3 days in Poultney on the Slate Valley Trails, hiked around camp and walked around town. Broke camp Thursday morning and drove to Northville and set up camp again. Walked around camp and town. Found a trail that runs from Northville to Lake Placid and hiked a section up to a mountain top lake. Kayaked a bit on Saturday. Back on plan for exercise. Did a run/walk warm-up this morning before doing the circuit.

Weight
1/2/22 Starting weight = 235.4
6/27/22 Current weight = 176.0
Diff: weekly down .8, total lost = 59.4
Maintenance is definitely working. Even while vacationing and drinking more beer than usual, I assume the activity level and more sleep all combined together for the weight range staying close.

Wife also lost and is down 33lbs overall.

Once again I'll share the links to the program that we've been doing and plan to continue as our lifestyle. It's not too late to jump in. Sign-ups are open through Wednesday.

Did that again 2wks ago, went to the local outlets. I'm officially out of 2XL shirts and some XLs. Dabbling in 34 and 36 pants size, where I was in the 38/40 range. I had to get rid of some boardshorts I've never worn because they were too small and now are too big. For you and I, getting new clothes is a good thing.

I almost never buy clothes for myself, my wife is pretty good at buying all the stuff i like. I didn't even know what size I even was anymore I had a whole shopping cart of various sizes in the dressing room. The person who had to put the other stuff back must have hated me. It was indeed a great feeling and I was shocked at some of the sizes I'm in now.

Undergarments were the first thing I purchased, because I can do that myself. As a 50 something color blind male, having my wife with me to shop for clothes is an absolute requirement. She's saved me a few times from purchasing colors that don't match.

I'll also mention I've had to purchase a few new belts, and have trimmed 4" off the work attire black/brown belt that has the clip on buckle.

Nice 👍 my work keeps asking if I'm going to stop losing weight so I stop asking for smaller stuff 😅 ... needed a new tool belt from them the other day and a new safety harness a few weeks ago. And made them change the order sizes for clothes twice before they came in.

Apparently Kuhl shorts are generously sized. 38s were snug when I was a 40 waist. Now that I'm around 36 waist, needed 34s.
