Best rub/seasoning for a deep fried turkey

I got potatoes too! Sweet potatoes are going in afterwards. 👍🏻 😘

Turkey came out juicy and delicious, I just don’t know how much the brining effected that. I didn’t get any of the flavor so maybe a longer soak next time. Or maybe a dry rub. The sweet potatoes that went in afterwards were delicious though! Sorry no pics. We were too hungry 🤤

We cooked our 19 lb turkey in the Weber grill this year. The wife seasoned and brined it for 48 hours first. We then placed it in a deep aluminum pan. I suspect my grill thermometer is off because it cooked surprisingly fast at 400º degrees and was done in 2:30. Although it was an earlier than expected dinner, the Turkey came out fantastic.

Only got one finished pic of ours because it was half gone before I finished cutting it. In related news, someone needs to teach me how to cut a turkey lol.

Check out the skin though, you can see there’s tons of seasoning cooked into it. It crusts over like the second it hits the grease.
