Best degreaser to use in chain scrubber

This was my go to for years - the HD store branded HDX Citrus Cleaner Degreaser concentrate in the gallon jug. Haven’t been able to find it in about a year. I asked for it and was told they no longer sell it. This was at the Dover store. If you’ve found it recently maybe they brought it back. Hope so I love it. I use it all around the house.
This is the one I got the last time

look up simple green and chain failure. Then switch to the simple green made for aircraft parts. It doesn’t hurt metal

as a side, I’m friendly with 2 pro factory tech guys from Shimano and sram. Both say never use a chain cleaning machine as they strip the interior lubricant from between the inner plates. One said to just run chain lube in these machines. Makes sense.

chains are the cheapest part of your drivetrain. Replace them at a more frequent interval than you do now and life will be better
Thanks for the info. I think I wear the chains out faster than worrying about the metal lol gravel bike wise anyway. The chain lube in the machine sounds interesting. But i can see that being extremely messy for me and expensive. Any suggestions on a cheap good lube?

What the hell is a chain scrubber?

Could be an old toothbrush, or one of these. I find the 3-sided brush head a great tool, which I use before the the Spin Doctor chain cleaner:

Also, the Spin Doctor is a good option. I've had one of these for about 25 years.

Another option: Pedro's Pig Juice. Haven't tried it, but recommended by super fanatic bicycle maintenance person Dave Rome here:
