Banana Peels?

D'know, unless it looks like it's been to hell and back, I'm not sure how much trust I put in the word organic these days. Seems to me the "machine" plays a bit loose and free with it's labels.

That being said, if the pesticide is on the peel, I gotta believe it's made its way into the fruit too.

I heard organic produce has to use a lot more pesticides to compensate for the fact that organic pesticides don't work very well. Must be true cause I read it on the Internet.

People think organic stuff doesn't use pesticides but they just use pesticides that are on an approved list. I forget the dEETs but there are some major loops holes as told to me by the owner of a local organic farm. One big one is water sources, if the farm as access to city water and use it to water their farm, it aint organic because of whats in the water.
 
Man - this resonates with me..... Because we really can't control this shit, we can be careful and aware as much as possible but there is no telling how deep the rabbit hole goes... So take one of the pills and LIVE THE FUCK OUT OF EACH DAY!

I'm curious now if Arwin's Mom stumbled upon the banana peel article to try and remedy the "sick" she mentioned.... Or if eating a banana peel caused the "sick"

No synthetic pesticides are allowed. They can used naturally derived ones that are much less toxic.
 
Sorry I made a joke out of the banana peel ( I guess) . I just never thought of eating the peel of a banana or the skin of an orange or grapefruit or lime... maybe we've been doing it all wrong - we should be eating the outside of the fruit instead of the inside ?
 
banana's aren't really fruit, they are berries. And they are very far from "organic" or whatever the hell you want to call it. We used radiation to transform this crappy berry into a banana

All bananas are clones, that's why every banana you have ever eaten tastes exactly the same and is exactly the same size. Save for time it's picked and place it's grown could alter it very slightly.
There were no bananas 10,000 years ago, humans created this wonderful food.
