Ausable Chasm?

I was there for the Gorge as well, went for the rafting ride and hiked back to the start. Didn't see anything I would want to ride. Trails in Wilmington and Lake Placid are legit though.

Heading there sometime next week. I won't be riding there, plan to go to Saxon Hill.
The Ausable brewery seems solid though 😁

Ausable Brewing is good. Real close to the Ausable Chasm lot.

i have a friend doing an airbnb in keeseville, a little west of the northway if anyone needs a place up there.
Their farm borders the ausable river.

Well I was just there for a week in late June hiking and riding. My buddy has property in Wilmington outside of placid. I have ridden there before. It looks like a mess on the map but it is actually a brilliant way for trail design. You choose which loop you want to ride and just follow the color colored square or circles. Then start again and pick a new loop. Average loop is about 4.5 miles. There are 9 stacked loops. It is a great place to ride. I love it there. Someone loves 80's metal bands !!!! LOL (Trail names Slayer, megadeath, The trooper, etc.) Cross country riding not freeriding. I haven't done Slayer which is the newest and considered EXPERT. Double black diamonds it says but like I said I didn't get to do it the last time I was there.

However......
1. Please make sure you pay for the day pass at the campground. The trails are private property and your car will be towed. I went there to get a day pass ($8) and told the guy I would be riding for two days and he just charged me for one day. Very cool guy.
2. Beware of the police presence. I got a ticket in Keeseville, that I fought, and had to spend $205 for a safety course to not get the points. Driver beware.

Well worth camping there also. The trails are literally right there. So cool. So much to do in the area.
