Att: Subaru owners

eventually I went to Kingston garage and they did that for $125. No complains, solid and looks go0d.

Got a 2017 Legacy here just trying to decide on which to use. The funny part is that subaru doesnt even recommend that the Legacy be used for towing anything. I am a little hesitant about the drilling into the frame but the ecohitch is 150$ more expensive. decision...

I'm most likely going with the EcoHitch for the Outback, but if going the Curt/Hidden Hitch route, you can avoid drilling through the frame by going from the trunk/hatch floor using a hole saw. Fish the bolts into the frame from above, then reseal the area you drilled out with plugs and sealant. I think etrailer.com has pictures of how it's done.

I installed the EcoHitch on my wife's 2015 Outback a few weeks. Super clean install with no drilling required. You do have to trim the underside of the bumper but it was easy. The entire install took about an hour.

I have a 2013 Crosstrek and as soon as I got it I put on a 2" Curt hitch it took less than half an hour to put it on. No drilling and easy to follow instructions. I use my Thule T2 on it and it's great. I would highly recommend it and it's not that expensive.
