Not even the latest buzzword (NICA) was enough to budge Monmouth County [yes, I know Allaire is Statey terriotory].

What do you mean by budge MC? The league maintains a friendly relationship with the county and are not asking them to budge on anything. Years ago we asked to race at a park which they were not agreeable to, but they offered us alternatives. We respect their (and all of our venue partners) decisions and appreciate their proactive management of the counties open space.

Overflow parking was definitely in use yesterday. No surprise given it was the first really spring like day. Caterpillars-n-Cocoons and such. On days like this I just park by the village and ride over, cuz I gotz a bike. This time of year parking is free and it’s not worth pissing off the “County Mounty” and I don’t feel right about parking in the rail trail lot. Those folks need that spot more than I do.

Besides, my way has perks.

Trail report---3.2/4 some ice, very little snow on trails in Shady spots.

I appointed @FRg to remove the carcass on Orange a tenth of a mile south east of the Hospital Rd lot.

It was wet today, the snow from yesterday started thawing And it was getting sloppy. I turned back on the road and got out of the park after this. Tomorrow will be wet again as more melts.

It was actually fairly good on all of the 'high' trails towards the end of the day today. Blind is it's usual disaster self next to the parking lot.

I need to ride there more when it's moist, cuz it percs better. Also, there's a veritable gold mine of trash to be removed as part of the "self-elected jackhole" affinity group that I am seeking funding for.

Big shoutout to whoever got me out of the woods this am. I was in a bad way. I am all good. Got a concussion and a broken nose, but the hand is surprisingly not broke. Appreciate all your help!!
