Rode Allaire today it’s in great shape. But what happened to the DH trail that starts by the power line tower, the jumps were removed and the trail is blocked.

There were rumors that trail was going to get closed off, and it sounds like it did. It was a trail that wasn’t built with the parks apporoval. While it was fun, all of the YouTube and Instagram posts didn’t do a very good job of keeping it a secret. Sometimes discretion is the better part of valor.

Case in point, I found it.

RIP EC Ham Slam

I think even w/out the jumps, it can be a fun trail. It was pretty well built w/ its drainage and layout. Lets hope JORBA can work with the park to open it back up again so its acceptable to all parties involved.

Did the rain pack the sand or is it still a sand trap?

Yes and no. The sand was firm, butttttt, the rain washed a ton of ground cover which is a mix of pine needles and leaves so it's like a few inches of softness on lots of the tighter trails.
