Hi. Not sure if this goes in the Shop section but I figured that maybe there are some fat bikers that have this same frame & fork so I'm posting it here. I'm building a fatty and it's coming along pretty good except a little detail. The hub that I have on the front wheel (Borealis, 135mm from disc spacing) is not compatible with the brake mount that I have on the 907 Al fork that came with the frame. So, I decided to get a Carver O'Beast fork, which should go nicely with my front wheel.
Right now I have a Cane Creek ZS44 headset on the bike and there is a gap between the bottom cup and crown race on the fork (see pics). The headset was (re)installed by a bike shop and doesn't have any play. I checked several pics of 907 builds with same frame, fork and headset and they all have this gap.
Now that I'm changing forks I would like to install a headset that doesn't leave that gap. I found a Cane Creek that seems to have the right specs (below) but the pics of it (4th pic) just show the headset unassembled (without the race crown). Would this headset leave no gap between the race crown and the outer border of the bottom cup?
