5" tires on a beargrease

So it's Christmas Eve and it like 70 degrees out... WTF? 😵

Oh well, time to finally get around to finding out if the Dunderbeast fits on the Beargrease on the Nextie 9omm rims.

The tires been mounted for a month so it's already stretched out and at the moment it has 14 PSI which is more than I'd ever ride it at. I'd rather error on the side of caution.

Well... It physically fits in back... I think it may work for beach and snow, but I don't know if I'd use it on the trail.

Clearance Clarence?

I've got 3mm between the chain and the tires sidewall in the 36T.

The seat stay has a hair over 4mm. And the chain stay has almost 5mm.

What do you guys think? Good to go or am I playing with fire?

Oh, and for the bonus round.

I might have a tiny tire problem.....🙄

Okay, here we go. Dillinger 5's. I have been talking about it forever. By the looks of it, I would have no issue running this, especially after I wear the tires a bit. Will report a month or so in. Setup tubeless on 85m rims. Tons of protection for the HEDs too!

SRAM 11 speed. 42 tooth, 32 front. Yes I have two different crank arms, long story but will be fixed next week.

I really like GC 4.6 on my 65mm Nexties. Good rear clearance on my 2015 Aluminum Beargrease.

I did Allamuchy 3 parks loop the last Sunday and was pleased not hearing rocks hitting the rims (had that issue with 3.8 tires)
