for sure, my 160 bronson....essentially the 27.5 version of your hightower...I have ridden every trail at killington with...It has some good tech. Also has some really fun blue trails that even my wife (who doesnt really ride) took my bronson and had a blast on.As a 25-26 Ikon base pass holder I can get a day of riding at a participating bike park. Was thinking of hitting Killington on our next bike trip up there. Last time I was there for riding was 2016. Lots more stuff there now. I don’t have the skills (cojones) to ride the jump trails but for anyone who’s been there recently, are there any enduro style trails (bermy, flowy, etc) that a 150mm bike (Hightower) would be fine on?
one of them was not valid on saturdays.
Why/how do 5th Graders get free lift tickets?I picked up a Blue Mtn PA season pass for myself and the kids. We had a blast last season and are looking forward to this winter. Don't forget if you have a 5th grader, you can get them a free lift ticket in VT. My oldest is going into 4th but I'm already psyching her up for some VT trips next year.
Google it. It’s something that VT does for free. Not sure why but take advantage of it!Why/how do 5th Graders get free lift tickets?
Ski NY has a similar passport for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders.
Zermatt is small so pretty much everything is close. There is an electric bus that runs every 20 mins connecting the tram, gondola and lift stations (there are 3 main "bases") and stops at various corners in the village. If you want to ski down to Cervinia and back, set out early on the gondola side and keep an eye on the forecast. Our place had a kitchen, so we made breakfasts and a few lunches/dinners at home to save some $ as there are multiple small, well stocked grocery stores walkable in town. Make sure to have restaurant reservations in advance for the nights you want to eat out because everything fills up. We had incredible cheese fondue at Postli Stubli that I highly recommend. Also, for a luxe lunch experience make a rez at Chez Vrony - the only way to get there is to ski and they book up fast! The chocolate store across from the train station called Laderach is worth trying too. Enjoy, we loved it there!Planning a trip with Mrs Icebiker and another couple. to St Moritz and Zermatt in Jan or Feb. For anyone that’s been there, any strong recommendations (places to stay, places to avoid, close to slopes or lifts/trams, etc). I recall at least a couple of you on here were in Zermatt last season?
This....and unlike in the US where you can just sit and wait to be seated....They dont do that...either have a reservation, or out you go lol.Make sure to have restaurant reservations in advance for the nights you want to eat out because everything fills up.
Any hotel recommendations in Banff? Booking with the hopes that all my body parts are working for Winter.
Thanks. Right now that place is more money than downtown. There's an Ikon discount if you book by the 28th so some places are 40% off. We'll have a car but my wife may or may not ski. Definitely not every day so I just want to be near a shuttle stop to leave her the car.We stayed here:

Banff Rocky Mountain Resort is located in the Town of Banff and offers Suites and Condos with kitchens and fireplaces.rockymountainresort.com
Not in the center of town but like 2 miles out of the downtown. We had a car so it was a non-issue, and like 1/2 the price. The place was not huge and for 4 people it was a hair tight. But it was really reasonably priced compared to a lot of other places.
We stayed at Moose Lodge in town. Was a nice place with a restaurant/bar, roof top hot tubs, ski storage, access to mtn shuttles and I think we got free town shuttle tickets as well. Rooms weren't huge and it's the last time I'll share a room with my somewhat grown kids (15/17 at the time).Thanks. Right now that place is more money than downtown.
