Wait what? A rain date? INCONCEIVABLE!
Rain date activated. Bummed because I can't make it. Good luck and have fun to those that can.
Bummed that I can't make the race. 1st time after many years of doing the Spring XC at Fair Hill. Have fun. Curious about the new race loop.Wow, what a difference one week can make this time of year! Tomorrow's forecast for Spring Fever is looking amazing.
Better than previous years when start temps were in the 30's. Looking forward to Sunday.Rattling Creek Sunday looks like absolute perfect weather, rain seems to be trending less on Friday/Saturday too

Great way to jump back into the racing deep end.I'll be racing Rattling Sunday (never raced there)...first race in several years. Performance expectations low, fun expectations high
Nice work over there- I often ride SS and those extended climbs would have hurt.Rattling MTB was a success. Weather was perfect with starting temps in the 50s and a bit of wind. Trail conditions were dry, the rocks were rocky. The Scalpel SS performed awesome in the rocky tech and on the downhills. Several PRs in those segments as the last 2 years of full rigid. Also, the lack of climbing and mostly trainer rides this offseason, was quite evident. Ran 32x20. Finished 9th of 10 in the SS class. Was looking to meet or improve my time over last year, but was about 2min longer.
Good seeing and chatting with @Stef and Serena in the lot before the race. Met @Cassinonorth in person at the post meal table and discussed our day. @jamie877 how was your day?

Scalpel SS 1st race. 32x20. 9th place out of 10. This place makes it apparent what you need to work on training wise. | Stravawww.strava.com

It was fun to get back out there-beautiful area. I was surprised by how many people were there racing, especially the large showing of women/girls and teenage boys.
I def didn't win anything- came in at 3:37--felt some cramp vibes the last few miles and had a mental bonk when I thought there was only supposed to be 2800ft of climbing (there was more). Even slow racing is harder than any non-racing rides...it was a nice reminder.
Yepper- I had a blue kit on with pink striped socks. We must've been riding together...I was in the black diagonal stripe Void kit and on the purple Epic 8. I finished 6 seconds ahead of you lol.

My next race I’m wearing a jersey that says “Race Support “ as my finish time is an hour longer than my moving time due to helping w flats, stopping folks from going off course & being mental support for my friend Brian who was ready to quit at mile 18 🤦🏻♀️
lol I always have fun. It’s just the scenic route to get there lolAt least you won the having most fun award
Raced XNJ yesterday and saw an Mtbnj jersey out there but never had a chance to say hi. Who else was there?
Course was a 50/50 split between two loops. First loop was fast single track and gravel second loop was an assortment of chunky rock gardens. Course was marked reasonably well and I had a good ride. Good day on two wheels!
