2023 TDF

Sepp still in top 10. Neilson still in pokadots. USA! USA! USA!

Bummer Cav is out cause I wanted to see him get one more stage win and see the old man do it. Sagan literally just holding on waiting to goto jail.

Watched some GCN video on bike costs and Lidl’s treks the most pricey? Street price of $18.5k? Wild.

I think it’s even crazier that the least expensive bike the teams are using is only 7600ish. Crazy!

I like Cav. Is he a dick kinda? Yes, but what world champion isn't? I cheer him on for his heart and skills in the game. I'm not here to be his friend or have him rub my feet.

I think it’s more the whiny whinerson is why people hate him.

So since stage 8 it's only on Peecock for $5/mo. Later TDF...
I'll just watch highlights which is actually better anyway.

Peacock is worth it for me. Not expensive and has each stage of the tdf archived as well as highlights and other cool watches like all the finishes together, the big crashes etc. We got peacock back for the Olympics and kept it. Some good original programming too.

I don';t care. I want to see someone going for it. Who cares about the guy that pulled 500 watts 20 times on the weekend group ride,. It's about the guy that went and set off the fireworks.

But he doesn’t go for it. If the lead out and finish aren’t picture perfect he’s nowhere to be seen. Until the post race interview where he has 1,000 excuses for why he couldn’t win.

Cav’s a one trick pony. And he had the best lead out man with Renshaw for years.

He was annoying before, but the last of my respect went out the window after he got Sagan kicked out of the tour after crashing himself out.

I much prefer watching the sprinters who actually race and put themselves in the break to go for the points. And the ones who can destroy themselves in the classics.

This, but especially the bolded parts.

And speaking of lead outs, make Alpecin needs to rethink jasper the disaster and MVDP. When the lead man out drops the sprinter, I think they’re doing it wrong.

The NBC Sports app has 25 minute versions of the race for free.
I feel like I watched the race while skipping the boring parts.
Also available on youtube thrugh NBCSports. Some things I would add to those videos, but it is a nice recap without a 4 hour commitment

Not specific to the TdF, and I'm sure the answer is just that it's not allowed, butt.....

When a rider takes a bike change, why does the team car not pull past about 30 yards or so and do more of a handoff with the replacement bike already off the car and ready instead of the rider standing three waiting (only 5-10 seconds, but still).

Just watched a bike change and was wondering.
