OK, here are our rough (emphasis on rough) course maps for Ringwood Rumble. It's the purple route on both maps. Both courses run clockwise. Usual disclaimers - objects are closer than they appear in mirror, etc. Course subject to change due to weather, dragons, etc. Yes, there is still one tree down across the course - we'll get there, we'll get there. Pay attention to this part. It's a long course, so we've changed things up a bit - the "long" race (Cat 1, Pro) will do 2 laps, Cat 2's (medium) will do one lap, and the Cat 3 (short) course will do 2 laps of the shortened course. We'll have something Strava-ish up tomorrow night. We'll probably be out there on Wednesday after work doing some final course clean up (tossing branches off the trail, cutting face slappers, chasing out the zombies, etc.) We'll start throwing arrows out there on Friday afternoon, finish and tape on Saturday morning.

So it's double track until that climb on white that meets up with red? I know I've ridden all that double track at some point but it's fuzzy in my head. I remember it being pretty flat. Seems like the race will stretch out on the fireroad so it's not a cluster into the singletrack. Was going to bring the ht but skylands is pretty gnar.

Just wanted to let everyone know that we’re going to have Dave VW on the podcast tomorrow which should be ready for listening on Wednesday. We’ll discuss the race loop for sure. I’ll mske sure a link gets posted here once it’s done.
 
Is the long course the course that was used years ago? I don't remember how it went on the map but I remember a fireroad somewhere in the middle of the course.

Pretty sure there has never been a race at Ringwood that hasn't included fire roads in the middle. 🙂

There are pieces of it that have been used in previous races, but no, it's not the exactly the same as any other Ringwood course.

Just curious why a 45+ endurance class was added? If I remember correctly the total #of endurance racers was pretty low. Now that it’s split up will everyone be on the podium?

They only had it 3 times. I think we had close to 30 at mooch tho
