2015 Race Thread - Inspirational Title

Solid race - well done.
and the pictures do tell quite a bit of the story 🙂

I see a black jersey poking out in front of me and the guy looks legit. I end up closing in on him like he is standing still, and sure enough he is in my class and dying. I encourage and look back after 30 seconds and never see him again. Cool. So I'm not going that slow.

That was me...I was in all kinds of hurt when you passed. Trying to pedal through the worst inner thigh cramps I have ever experienced. I lost about 4 or so spots in the last 6 miles. Congratz on a great race!

Good race, good recap, nice effort dropping pants in the ivy. Well done!

ouch man! i knew i wasnt that fast to reel in someone who was putting in a crusher effort. utah said you were flying that first lap!

Great write up as always, it's one of the fun "day after" things to look forward to. You guys looked really strong as you blew past (lapped) me on the New Road climb.

Watching the top guys/gals in action is the "silver lining" of being a slow moving vehicle. 😳

Nice... You were right - once I did a lap, I'd figure out what my pace would be. There were moments when I would think, I wonder when I'm going to get lapped by @pearl

12+ mph and a sub 4 hour total time is tough for me to comprehend. When I was running just over 11 mph avg, my HR was too high, I'd never make it. Very Impressive performance! Very motivating!

I was all the way to the right almost off the road in a yellow helmet, grey MBR jersey on a Green Jet 9. Couldn't tell if it was mumbling or grunting. At any rate, I would have looked like a dead tree stump at the pace you were going. 😉

How did I forget to comment on your great race and more importantly....great post race shotgun duties. Thanks for all the hard work out there.

Maybe ill take 3 sisters out next year...Everytime I climbed it I realized the downhill payoff kinda blows.

You looked strong and steady out there sir, that's a solid effort for sure.

I've spent many a race in the no-man's land between the pointy end and the crowd; it's amazing how isolated you can get, in spite of 250-300 other people racing at the same time as you.

ya, i thought about this, but realized it would be kind of lame to only recap the race i won... no?
