2014 Trek Farley rear axle help

Ok can someone tell me what the hell I need to do to run a 12 x 177 axle/ hub on this? Its got some weird inserts now for a QR set up.

As for the fire post:
Like the inquisition, most problems are solved with fire. Afterwards, nobody questions why.

exactly, fire will either destroy the bike and you will need a new bike, or fix the problem (unlikely)...either way it will fix your problem!

Your hub is a quick release with a different type of nut on the drive end. A simple search on the hardtail converter in the picture brought up Bontrager website with an explanation.

2014 had 170mm x 9mm QR
2015 has the 177mm x 12mm QR
Jackelope wheels can be converted between the two types
I think you'll need special Trek hardware to convert the frame.
