12/2 MD, early early early

I'm riding MD early tomorrow, like 7:00. Hope to get a good pace in and keep it to around 2 hours. I need to be home at a reasonable time because I'm supporting some upgrade stuff for work around 11 or 12. The plan is for me to retrace last week's route. Let's hope I can because I'm SOL otherwise. Open to anyone else leading the ride and so on.

Reality in Darkness

I was born about noon in the shade of magnolias
Wearing the rose-colored glasses of trust
Everything to lose, but still I flew higher
When I took that one fatal glance at the earth

You were born on a night without trees or spectacles
Aspiring to mediocrity and lacking in love
So I knelt on the ground with my knees in the dirt
And now I'm the same height as you

I know in my heart that you're all that I have
(I've lost my faith in sweet-smelling trees)
My rose-colored glasses have turned a dark gray
And my noon in the shade disappeared

It's hard to believe that it's worth it to lose
But I happen to know from experience
The wings of naiveté hold so few pounds
And land is more stable than sky

you say that, but I will probably be the only one showing for this ride tomorrow. Just because you didnt understand the new code thats not my fault. Did you not send away for the MTBNJ decoder ring?

No I really don't. Never stopped me before.

It's actually supposed to be more like 40 tomorrow AM. So not too cold.

Sure you did.

good ride, tried some new trails that were WAY off course. Between the 2 of us we got around the "Alex" loop... Very similar to yours but (suprise suprise) we did something much longer.

No Mt. Lion sighting

Play of the day:

Heythorpe: "I...um...I think maybe if we keep going this way we could be going forever."

We turned around. Otherwise we might still be out there.

By the way: Does anyone have a reasonable description of the trail at the end of Cascade. Steve - we took a left at the end and climbed up the gravel hill back to the start of Cascade. Apparently you can go left and cross the "cascade stream" and tool around in there a little, then come back and do the climb and head down to the picnic area/ballfield.
