1-1/8” headset bearing_FOUND

Hi all,

Does anyone have an extra upper bearing lying around?

TH MR122 1-1/8” 36x45 H8 is laser etched on my old bearing.
Naturally, I will pay for it if needed.

Can you use a measuring tape it ruler to confirm that the outer diameter is 41, or 42mm? They are both fairly common diameters, and it may be easier to find you one in the collective MTBNJ parts bin if it can be narrowed down.

I gave my cousin a bike that I had just installed two new Cane Creek bearings on, which had sat in my parts bin for years, thinking I’d never need them again. Big mistake, lol.

I got my caliper tool out and removed the bearing; it's 41mm. I'm going to order a few from eBay.

I just did a quick breeze through my old parts box and wasn’t able to find it. I know it’s around somewhere but not sure when I’ll have time to do a deeper search.

Make sure to get the correct outer/inner edge angle right, that's the 36x45 part of the specs...

I usually just take the old bearing into a local shop to have them match it and sell me one. May pay a few bucks more, but it's easy and fast if they have it on hand.

I pulled the trigger and got on eBay, from my search, the 41mm with the 36x45 should do the trick 🙂

If I have any issues, I will report back (hope not lol).
