“Pro’s” tech

Speaking of Fox, you could count on one hand how many pros were riding Fox forks at the World Cup.
So I would be interested to know why this really is.....do some of these pros have secondary sponsorships that help them pick one of the other? Does SRAM have a truck that follows the races around and offer better support/tuning? Since most bike manufactures offer a model/version with either a fox or a RS....you would think that a pro could pick what they want. So do they simply like the feel of a SID over a fox? Maybe its all of those reasons.

It mostly comes down to what team it is. Sram is a lot more open to develop suspension with the bike manufacturer and design products specifically for that bike. In the team Specialized scenario, Sram is right down the street from the Specialized's headquarters so they're very involved with each other. Not to mention you get a package deal with Sram, groupsets, suspension, computers, clothing, they own everything you'd need to build a team.
