If you are looking for southern chicken visit Rocky's hot chicken shack https://rockyshotchickenshack.com for some spicy chicken and fried Okra. I second Bent Creek for some solid climbs (Ingles field climb and greens lick down) and free flow downhill. Black Mt in Pisgah is super fun too on...

    Old HID niteriders

Cleaning out.. found my old Niterider HID lights (I think one is a Storm and the other a Blowtorch circa 2005). Battery still takes a charge but don't last long so they are toast. Lights and chargers are still good and I have mounts if anyone still has good batteries. No charge. Going in the...

    6 Mile Run Conditions

A little slick this morning with the overnight fog and then it drizzled a bit as I rode. Got really sideways a few times. Not as good as last Sunday by far.

    Chimney Rock Conditions

Forgot to report yesterday there is a big tree down on the lower switchback on the High-tech (Voessler) trail. Didn't get a pic, its a big tree, you've seen them before ;)

    Specialized Hotrock 24 kids mtb

With the sloped top tube my rough measurement is 22 inches mid way between stem and seatpost. With the seat all the way down in the tube you could say it was 23 from top of saddle to the ground. Weight I have no idea but the spez website probably has stats for the current model that are likely...

    Specialized Hotrock 24 kids mtb

What the title says. I think this one is about a 2008 model. Lightly used since my kid broke my heart by declaring "I don't like riding bikes Dad" shortly after a few rides at 6MR and Allaire. It sat in the corner of the garage waiting for him to change his mind until he grew out of it size...

    6 Mile Run Conditions

I say it needs something, perhaps just a reminder that it's coming up! I rolled too slow over the mound and didn't have enough momentum to pedal out with the SS bike. I used the half tree to stop from ending back at the bottom - someone shoulda got it on video would have been funny. Beginners...

    Chimney Rock Conditions

All the usual mush this morning. Any drainage impair spot was still well, drainage impaired. Saw a big group out on the Yellow side which is in good shape. Blue is OK except along the bottom where it is very wet still. I give it a 3.

    Chimney Rock Conditions

Ditto to Woody's report. Ran for 8 miles there this morning and didn't see a single bike or many tracks. Anywhere that holds water is still very mushy and soft. Huge improvement over last weekend though. With no rain and this nice breeze it could be ridable soon.
