Day 21: And I'm out :( as stated yesterday the legs are toast, will be better to take a few days off. Lesson learned to not be so out of shape again. Good news ,lost 8# this month so at least my weight has continued to come down.
Keep going everyone else!
Day 20: legs are toast. This ride should have been much easier than it felt, seriously debating an off day :( . Anyway, my plans for riding up north after work fell apart so I met the family at the swim club and hit up the Lawrence Hopewell Trail
replacing tubes on my sisters bike and noticed the wire bead is exposed in a few places. Is the tire usable or shot? My initial thought is that this is what caused the flat in the first place. Any feedback is appreciated
Day 18: slept in a little too long since the kids were at the grandparents. Headed to Mercer and hit up about 70% of the park as the heat was ramping up. Saw alot of turtles on the trails today
Day 16: halfway through July, hit the UTT up with a coworker. Between this, mercer, and the canal rides I guess I am in the running for least elevation this month !
Day 15: rode the d and r and met the family at the swim club again. After 15 days my legs are pretty stiff and fatigued (I'm sure by knee isn't helping). Lesson learned to not be as lazy the other 11 months a year! Passed my company's more local office, if they ever let me transfer onky a 40...
Day 14: lunch time cruise around our lovely state capital. Afterwards went for my first PT session for my knee.. good news, therapist says keep up the cycling as long as it's comfortable. hopefully it gets better w the therapy
Day 13: Patriots path from Lewis Morris. Much more exciting than the D and R :) and since I forgot a picture, here's one of sunset over sunset lake through the trees from my car.
Day 12: headed over to Allaire, now I need new shoes... I guess I got my $ worth out of these. Debating trying flat pedals (clipless for 20yrs).. thoughts?
Day 10: in before the rain. After losing the argument for a midnight ride w the Mrs, set the alarm for 4am. Can't remember ever riding that early. After a short road stretch mainly hit the canal again, hopefully I'll hit some trails Su day if it drys up
Day 9: slow leisurely canal ride with some old coworkers. Legs were happy for the pace!
Poll question, with tomorrow's rainout should I head out after again midnight tonight ?? Thoughts???
Day 6: radar showed thunderstorms all over CNJ so I went west from work for a short ride at Lewis Morris. Never been there, so tookk it easy. A group in the lot suggested the yellow loop,, got lost/ turned around but was fun Hills still bother the knee, but thats what grany gear is for I...
