    Soft Rock Hard Times

Whoooaaa. I wish I found you earlier, @JimN. It would've made scouting so much quicker. Thank you for sharing all those Strava activities. There definitely is much more to absorb. There's much to link up with Ramapo and High Mountain. Not too much of a dead end, transit-wise. The Glen Rock...

    Soft Rock Hard Times

Oh, rad! Saving that route to try out @JimN. I'd love to continue growing the list of dayrides and overnighters. Maybe slowly form SRHT as the NYC version of Portland's OMTM

    Soft Rock Hard Times

The bit routed through NJ is such a blast. That section comes in at nearly 60% singletrack! I've spent so many weekends just chipping away to see what makes sense for pacing and flow. It could easily become much harder with more diffcult trails but I think there's enough "breathing room" to...

    Soft Rock Hard Times

Helloooo again! Popping my head in here to post a few upcoming group rides that I'm planning. I also want to share a project that I've been working on the past two years (and may have bumped into a few of you along the way during scouting rides). I've been linking up as many trail systems as...

    Howdy All

@jimvreeland you know it best! nothing like arriving at a gas station and chasing down a little debbie cake and ice cream with a bottle of coke (although I recently discovered that the alaskan randonneur folks have been doing mountain dew for the higher caffeine)

    6/5 Soft Rock, Hard Times

Whewf. That Hoeferlin/Cannonball sections is a doozy! I thought I'd play nice by giving racers a nice road descent into the Erskine shopping area for anyone needing a re-up on food/water. Already scheming an XL version for the next time so who knows!

    6/5 Soft Rock, Hard Times

Kinda interesting using gpsrace.cc for record-keeping and ITT results. I have the race open for gpx uploads until the end of June if anyone wants to take a stab at it outside of the group depart on 6/5 (or want to race it a second time). The first entry was clocked in around 10:06 on the race...

    6/5 Soft Rock, Hard Times

Thanks, @Mare45! It took me 5-6 scouting rides to figure out what flow worked best and I managed to wrangle a few friends to beta test and photograph the later versions. Kinda hard not to take great photos in the backdrop of those trail systems! @gmb3 I've certainly had some rough days on it...

    Howdy All

Hey folks. Long time rider, first time mtbnj'r. My name's Conan and I'm based out of Brooklyn, originally from southern California. I've mostly been riding along the Hudson valley for the past decade but discovered a few of the beautiful mtb trail systems last year when I finally started heading...

    6/5 Soft Rock, Hard Times

Hey all! Finally heard about this forum and wanted to pop in to post about an informal xc race I'm putting together on June 5 starting from the Glen Rock main station at 9a. The route was a bit of a pandemic project after I realized there was a way to connect a few mtb trail systems before...
