Hey all, I made the commute this morning into NYC over the GWB it was Sick! 38 miles one way. No real issues other than some things I ahve to change on the bike. Traffic was not bad. Question though, how do you get from the GWB to the Hudson River Greenway or the reverse?

How long is the ferry ride? I have to end up at 102nd Street so that's why I was thinking GWB

Agreed. Before you spend any money try out a 29er or 27.5. If you already have tried one and still have a love for 26 wheels and rim brake's then by all means go ahead. In which case find an older stumpjumper M4 hardtail or something like that. You would be around the same price as a new hardrock.

Do you have a 104 BCD crank? If so just pick up a Race Face Narrow Wide Ring. They are 9-speed compatible and work better than a guide. Also they are not crazy money 40-45 bucks?
