    Commuting

Hey all, I made the commute this morning into NYC over the GWB it was Sick! 38 miles one way. No real issues other than some things I ahve to change on the bike. Traffic was not bad. Question though, how do you get from the GWB to the Hudson River Greenway or the reverse?

How long is the ferry ride? I have to end up at 102nd Street so that's why I was thinking GWB

That actually seems pretty doable, better than what I had in mind at least. I'm planning on trying this out next week. I'll post back how it goes.

    Commuting

Hey guys I know some of you get into Manhattan via the GWB. I'm trying to put together a relatively safe route from Summit to the bridge. I have not tested it out yet but I was hoping for some route suggestions before I venture out there. Has anyone ridden to the bridge from an area close to...

Coffee Coffee Coffee Does anyone use a bottle cage specific coffee mug? They seem to be pretty sparse. I used an old Trek Soho mug (just the mug not the bike don't worry) for a long time but its pretty beat up now.

    Looking into a new bike

Agreed. Before you spend any money try out a 29er or 27.5. If you already have tried one and still have a love for 26 wheels and rim brake's then by all means go ahead. In which case find an older stumpjumper M4 hardtail or something like that. You would be around the same price as a new hardrock.

Word, you must have had followers then. We saw your tracks, they were super fast, plus some fat bike tracks alongside.

We got into the woods around 7. We saw lights on the other side of the lake and plenty of tracks. I figured it was either you and Woody or Gili.

    D&L Fat Epic 200/400k February 11th, 2017

This race lived up to its name. It's easily up there with the hardest/stupidest things I've ever done. Plus the pace was brutal. Next year will be even better I'm sure. Thanks Haas.

Feedback needed: Hitch Mount Bike Racks

I agree mine has been bomb proof as well, Thule was even good about replacing the arms on mine when they started to wear out. Your right it's not bad taking it off. The bolt on mine though is inside the bumper so its a pain to get to (I have a Mini its weird). Plus I use the rack year round, I...

Feedback needed: Hitch Mount Bike Racks

Ive got an old Thule T2 on an 1 1/4 hitch no problems at all with no sway and two bikes on it. Its damn heavy though so I usually leave it on. For a light weight rack check out the Thule Helium or equivalent Aluminum rack. The Helium ways like 2 pounds (or close enough). Its on and off the car...

    Chain guides for 1x9/10

The narrow-wide tooth configuration eliminates the majority of the side to side movement of the chain on the chain ring. This makes it very difficult for the chain to fall off in either direction. I have it setup on three bikes: XC bike CX bike and fatbike. None of them have chain-guides or...

    Chain guides for 1x9/10

Do you have a 104 BCD crank? If so just pick up a Race Face Narrow Wide Ring. They are 9-speed compatible and work better than a guide. Also they are not crazy money 40-45 bucks?
