    Derailleur replacement

Thanks for telling me about Essa products. I see it's designed for a 1x8 drivetrain. Do you think it will work with a 3x8?

    Derailleur replacement

It's my wife's bike and it doesn't get used very much. I replace the chain every two years but haven't done the cassette or the crank sprockets (they look good). It would shift only one gear and not reload for another shift.

    Derailleur replacement

I wanted to change the rear derailleur on my 12 year old bike. It's an 8 speed Shimano Alivio. Unfortunately, they are made not anymore. But I understand you can use a 9 speed derailleur with the 8 speed shifters and everything will work fine. So I bought a 9 speed Shamino Alivio (RD-T4000-SGS)...

    Updating Sram 10 speed cassette

Just wanted to try something different. I think the 12-36 1070 has different spacing than the 11-36 1070. When I installed it, the large cog was very close to the spokes, and my derailleur wouldn't reach it even with the "L" screw removed. The "H" screw was tightened all the way and I still...

    Rear Derailleur Cable Replacement

WOW, nice bike Dave! Must be carbon or someone spent alot of time grinding welds. My derailleur housing can be pulled out of the swingarm, but it's going to require alot of power. My idea was to tape the new housing to the old one and just pull. However, I think it will just break the tape...

    SRAM X-9 Shifters (3X10)

Is it possible to change the "internals" of my three speed shifter to make it for ten speeds, and my ten speed shifter to make it for three speeds? I know that you can flip them on the handlebar, but that puts them on the top side in an awkward position. (I want my left hand to control the...
