Not really. Shimano is historically slow to respond to consumer demand. They have watched Sram eat their lunch for years and basically do little to stop it.

Mud hole?? I just need a few dry days to firm that up. There was no culvert there and we basically created a Dam. On Wed we threw in a culvert and now the whole hillside drains nicely.

Trickle down does exist. This is a great way compare emerging tech and find ways to achieve it at a lesser budget later. I have the unique opportunity to test many ebikes well over 10K. With those experiences I have been able to better confirm the diminishing point of investment.
