    Car-spotting thread

From what I've read the Mezger engines are robust and with the 996 turbo version it seems like it's not as rung out the larger displacement / higher redline ones. Compared to other cars of that power and performance era the spark plug job doesn't seem too bad. I think I saw a video that the...

    Car-spotting thread

If I had garage space and not a kid in college a 996 Turbo would be on my look at list. I'm not sure what the carry costs are but this recent example on BaT seems like a lot of fun for $60k: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2002-porsche-911-turbo-coupe-61/

    Camp Cromwell property

I did a little help at CC on Monday. Cold one for sure @snashters was swinging shovels and rake hoes a LOT to work up to temps to be down to a short sleeve in the pic J posted. Freeze thaw and frozen chunks of material made digging and more specifically shaping hard but it felt good to get a...

What have you done to your car today?

I love it with the stone and wood work and beautiful cars but I would need a work shop. I'd feel naked walking in there without a welding machine, fixturing table, press, and a belt sander/grinder.

The Driving Range - Richmond, VT

I meant the size of the area of features not a third of the actual feature size (if that makes sense). And truth be told the "features" at Hart are about a 1/10 of the size of the stuff at the Driving Range.

The Driving Range - Richmond, VT

We would have a good time there! I'm glad you had the same experience on the bonner log. I thought it was just me as I hit it solo and no one to talk to or watch hit it. The bummer is the skipper before it was really good. And I really hate pedaling for something in the middle of a line. I...

The Driving Range - Richmond, VT

There is so much to ride in that little pocket of Vermont! Hopefully they tune up some things next spring. It's still worth a visit but on certain sections I kept thinking with a little more dialing this could be so much better. Can't wait to see what the place develops into!

The Driving Range - Richmond, VT

Middle Hot Dogger Starting from the On Off feature there were some decent berms and then into a skipper that feed into the ladder drop. The ladder drop had me thinking for a while before I tried it. The skipper before it is smooth and works well but the ladder drop is a little off sloped...

The Driving Range - Richmond, VT

I was up in the Stowe area on and off for the last couple of weeks. I have been hearing a bunch on the Driving Range in Richmond and decided to get over there to check it out. I unfortunately didn't get to ride all the trails as I was having some "stressful fun" dissecting the Upper Hot Dogger...

    2022 Banshee Spitfire 27.5 140mm - Size Large

I bought a Transition Scout frame earlier this year to replace this Spitfire as I wanted a lower top tube setup. TBH I like the geometry on the Spitfire better but rather more leg room on this type of bike (and the Scout is pretty close). Drivetrain, stem and bars are from a Transition Spur I...

2x or 3x spoke lacing on 29" wheel

That's what I was thinking and seemed to be consensus from a quick search. Funny that We Are One didn't mention hole count which seems like an important factor in lacing. Thanks for the info you guys - I'll figure in 3x in the spoke calculator

2x or 3x spoke lacing on 29" wheel

I just got in some We Are One Faction hoops in 32H that I will lace (or bring to an LBS). The WR1 website says to lace 2x on their 29" wheels but I have always gone 3x (all my wheels have been 32H or higher). They say it gives the best ride quality but I'd rather have strength and less flex in...
