$35 for a one day USAC license is going to destroy this series. Absolute deal breaker for me.
Looking at my registration for Mayhem last year, 1 day license was $15. Might be a deal breaker for me too. And, I've been asking the promoter to add an Endurance SS class.

It will be $100+ now with race registration, USAC license, and Bikereg fee.

Weirdly enough Mayhem is charging $15 for the USAC day license....sooo...not sure what's going on there.

Cat 1+ is $35 for mtb, "beginner" is $15:

Beginner One-Days One-Day licenses for beginner categories are $15 and may be purchased on BikeReg, or on-site at the event.

Experienced One-Days If your categories prohibit you from entering a race with a beginner one-day license (cat 1 mountain bike and anything but cat 5 for road, track and cyclo-cross), you can purchase the experienced one-day license for $35. The experienced one-day license is only available through BikeReg. To be eligible for the experienced one day license you must have held an annual license in the past and have been awarded an upgrade to at least Cat 4 in road, track, or CX, or Cat 2 in MTB.

They will discount annual membership the amount of one 1-day license purchased too.

I'm not going to derail the thread by debating USAC costs, but I am sure there is another out there, or one we can necro.

I am sure there is a thread or 20 that covers this topic. Maybe 1 of the Search Gurus can find it.

This thread just reminded me that I haven’t done a race since the final Cathedral Pines event in 2019 (really a “participation” effort, rather than actual “racing”) and I’ve been (and still am) paying for my annual USAC license through auto-renewal. 🙄
