Biggest change will be the Iron Gate will be open for parking inside the lot. No more dodging dump trucks on Kinney Road.
hmm, if that happens then I hope they'll put some sort of barriers around that lot. Otherwise I can see people driving and parking on that double track path around the lake.
Yep, it's been thought through. State is more worried about swimming and boat loading than anyone.

Put down one snow shoe track around the maze. Will need several more passes before it would be rideable, But hey it’s a start. Only two small tree’s that need attention, but can be had with hand saw (if I didn’t forget it). The picture with the snow shoes was right by the car, I went back to a few times, thats why it looks like finished packed trail. It also looked like maybe a moto had been thru before Sundays storm.

It was pretty fluffy and deep in the there. Maybe 20-30 inches give or take. It was packing down under foot pretty well. But I know from experience that one or two passes is not enough to make it rideable. Where’s a quad (to groom) when you need one.

Maybe that’s on the high side, I really didn’t make a point of measuring. I can tell you the maze loop is 2.77 miles and my legs were cooked. (Had done an endurance ride on the trainer in the morning for good measure). Regardless I don’t see it being rideable this weekend without a lot more work.

Check this thing out on the snow dog website. This could double as a plush ride for @chainsawer and as a winter groomer.

That snow dog trail is what they run up at gurney. I watched the dude doing it. It looked way to fun 😊
Kingdom Trails uses them all winter. I need to get up there fat biking one year just to experience it.
