Whoops
Rode to core creek to see conditions there and it was a 100% no go. I was going to do a "look im on the ice" pic but walking the short distance to the lake was tough going so bagged it, lol.
So went to the Yardley sled hill and it was ridable up. I do a few runs and then hit the kicker. I did set up my phone on a broken wooden snowboard thing, but the quality was sucky so didn't post it. The hill did have so fun whoops. Last time down, at the bottom my rear wheel hit a boogie board style sled and rear wheel slides around and I just took a knee and here this loud snap. I don't know what it was and left. 10 min later I see I don't have a water bottle, or cage...went back to get it, the composite cage snippy snapped.

glad the snappy sound was just the bottle cage and not the bike!

Quick SST session before office day. Legs felt pretty good after yesterday's session so continuing to vary my workouts.

I have to take a lot of local roads to drive to the office through Chester, Harding, and into Madison. A lot of icy corners and very narrow roads as I expected dont see a chance to ride outside anytime soon (i guess unless you're @stb222 or @Piston Honda ).

Oh and cops hiding everywhere today - end of the month time.

Our outdoors sure did change fast here in the Pine Barrens.

Current conditions are ice, and lots of it. The snow has frozen over and I am contemplating putting studs on the bike as even walking is interesting.

In the meantime, pulling this transmission on the summer cruiser has been keeping me busy. Hoping to be back out soon!

Looks like we may have more snow on the way😎

Not going to lie, it has been nice having a winter again.

Alright, we in the trenches now. Tried nesh again as one of the local mtb guys walked there yesterday and thought it would "help" and all it did was make walking it better but did nothing for riding as the 2" ice chunk top just breaks, looking like a coast guard ice breaker went through. So I rode back to the other side to see if the motorized vehicles visited again to find they did not. I tried to ride the tracks again, but it was worse than the other day since you hit your foot on the edges of the track when pedaling. The other day you could pedal through it a bit, but with the sun creating more of an ice layer on top, it was now like hitting your pedal on a rock every few pedal strokes. Meh. Tried some riding on top but it pretty much goes like the picture below, two bike lengths and a front wheel punch through. I expected this so no OTB. In the areas open to the sun, you could probably ride on top for awhile but need studs. Not particularly stoked about resorting to the road the next few days with the single temps and I dislike riding my mtb on the road for more than a few miles between parks.
