You're not wrong. I went down that rabbit hole and all my bikes in rotation now have them. The FS bikes only take 1. Both HT have 2.

Clean and repacked suspension bearings. Once a year. Haven't had to replace any yet. Lower main pivot was seized. .

15K tuneup / overhaul. new caliper & pads, chain, rebuild front & rear suspension and put the studded tires on for winter.

Fox suspension is only good after using a 3rd party shop to service them. I’ve had so many forks and shocks that felt eh. But after sending them to get a damper service and rebuild, they feel much better than new.

You basically have to pull them apart new. Almost none of them come out of the factory correct.

Yes. I wish they did a studded version so I can use them in races too.
