I ride Allaire Thursday morning. Went down to see the YDKSAMTB guys but rolled before start.

I would guess that 50% or more of the 20 man crew had ebikes. That's a big change from two years ago.


One younger guy I know told me that his Amish bike doesn't have fresh Stan's so he couldn't ride it if he wanted to.

One of the four guys riding the FF Friday had a 110nm motor.

I wonder how many of these parents received 50cc minibikes when they were kids... these are basically the modern equivalent of those. Only the e-motos are more capable.

I don’t think you can compare the current e bike boom with mini bikes. There are hundreds of kids in every town on e bikes. When I was a kid we knew 1 guy with a quad and we all went to his house. There definitely weren’t hundreds of us on motorcycles around town.

That's basically what I mean - these are the equivalent of those old 50cc minibikes, but because they don't make the same amount of noise, parents don't think of them that way and consider them "safe".
