What have you done to your bike today?

Been sitting home for 2 weeks after rotator cuff surgery. Managed to finish off my Fuel EX project one handed. Made a few changes and added some bling.

I approve. My wife, not so much. 3 weeks into rotator cuff injury and fractured patella and she gets really upset if I go out and play. I'm not 100% sure I could get my Levo onto the repair stand yet but really itching to try. I miss the days before WFH for the wife,

Im 71 and my girlfriend just shakes her head when i do "stupid shit". Did the heavy work, fork and shock, before surgery. did the rest in a floor rack. I had a small but complete tear. Not being able to drive is killing me.

I need to make a build post or something about bob's new mach6 that we got from @jdog last month....but I got the new stickers for it last week and we started doing some work on it during the rain this weekend

Bike had a creak...

-Took fork out. Lower headset bearing had a ton of play and tons of dirt all over it. Put in a Hellbender bearing I got last year at the Cane Creek factory. Creak still there when riding hard.
-Took off the Float X shock, tore apart the whole rear of the bike. Upper link bearings seemed OK. Replaced the four lower link bushings. Greased all the pivot points. Put it all back together with the DVO Topaz shock.

Creak seems to be gone.

Removed my wet front brake pads and burned the oil out of them with a torch, worked great.
Degreased the caliper and rotor and sanded the pads a little.
Test ride 6 miles and not a squeal to be heard, perfect.
This makes many many times in five years I've had to do this. I was replacing front calipers every year because of leakers. Shimano MT520.
LBS recommended upgrading to Shimano XT, which I did 10 months ago, but the same problem returned this week, a leaker.
Have to see how long it lasts.
