Crosswicks Creek Trail Build - Come Dig!

Thanks to @pooriggy we're putting new trails in the Crosswicks/Allentown area.

I'm starting up my bi-weekly Wednesday night sessions to get this new series of trails built, much like he has done (and is still doing) in Perrineville.

Looks like we'll have some good trail building weather this Wednesday! We're going to continue building up the tread/surface of the trail that was previously roughed in.

Wednesday April 16th
Starting Time: 5PM
Location: 91 Walnford Road, Allentown
Parking: Just off dirt road next to the barn (the Yellow star on attached image)

For those who can't get there for 5PM to hitch a ride to the worksite (the Green star on the attached image), bring a bike and ride the field perimeter counter-clockwise.
**Please do not ride or drive on the farmers field** - Follow the route shown by blue arrows.

Started cutting tread on Harms Way yesterday. FGRs galore!!

These two did not listen to the Circle of Death speech 🤣🤣

Although we're hitting record temps this week, we'll still be out at Crosswicks on Wednesday, 5pm. We're going to focus on lighter duty work and map out more of the trail, saving the bench cutting and big digging for cooler weather.

If anyone shows up late you can ride a bike counter-clockwise along the field perimeter until you get to the work site.

Good work was done. This section was just a roughed-in trail that was a bit awkward to maneuver through, and now will feel like an actual planned trail.

I remember mapping out this route and someone (maybe Jeff?) saying "we're going through thaaat??!?" 😂

@pooriggy will be out there tomorrow morning if anyone is free and wants to get in on the "build a new park" bandwagon 😉

We moved a ton of dirt today...... Actually, more like three tons 🤔. Pictures don't do justice for how off camber this section was, and you can't see the very long tumble down to the stream that would be inevitable either 😅
