I'm a really lousy mtb'r but had a great time with the trance at Santos in Ocala... completed once around the track, trust that was a major accomplishment....
My son actually raced, rode hard then tossed his cookies...., yeah, one and done just not for me but great experience nonetheless!
In the seventies Marantz, Kenwood, Pioneer, Sansui and others were in a power war to produce the biggest baddest drool worthy audio gear costs be dammed...
today's Marantz has made a nice comeback integrating high end video technology with powerful audio.... ok back to our regularly scheduled...
bergsnj, dont get me started lol... my beta 200rr msrp was $8699.... add dmv tags, prep, delivery, taxes and it was nearly $10k all in.
motul motor and pre-mix oil, tubeless tires, hand guards, lower seat etc... mtb are typically much less expensive to own and operate!
I believe NY tax rate is 8.0625% which was ~$370, add matching red ISSI pedals which I'm including (doesn't come from dealer with any), water bottle, seat bag etc. and you're nearly at $5k.... It is what it is.
agreed however the seller has it listed as a "buy it now" only with no bidding or offers allowed. It also has 65 watchers which is considerable.
regardless my trance advanced 2 was nearly $5,000 after dealer preparation, taxes etc. IMHO, you cant buy a Giant (or other major player) FS MTB...
