    Chimney Rock Conditions

If you’re a local, it’s great and the best I’ve seen in quite a while. If you’re part of a large group that’s going to cruise around and have music coming from your handlebars, and get in the way, it’s a swamp. I’d suggest anywhere but Chimney Rock. 🤣 One tree down on the backside of the...

You should just follow me.. they’ve gotten me twice already. It’s been a few weeks- I’ve been through a few times since and haven’t seen any. I was hoping they had left until I saw this post.

    Chimney Rock Conditions

I live in Bridgewater. I was on Washington Valley Road around 3:30 when the skies opened up, complete downpour from about 3:30-5-ish.. I’m not sure how much we got overnight, but the ground was pretty wet by me. That said it’s been dry recently so I’m sure a lot was absorbed back into the...

    Chimney Rock Conditions

This probably isn’t something most riders hit on the Cromwell side, it’s on the gravel path towards the dirt mound next to the Stop Sign trail. It’s still sturdy, but the sand/gravel holding it down is just eroded away - that hole looks straight down into water underneath. The gravel paths took...

    Chimney Rock Conditions

Trails are decent considering the rain we got last night, just alot of trees down. Spots of mud and puddles but the ground is absorbing a lot of it nicely. Yellow Bottom: At the bottom of Krams DH Yellow Climb: Just after the 4 way intersection. I made it rollable-ish. Black mud pit: Still...

    Chimney Rock Conditions

Good guess. I took a quick ride yesterday after work, spots of slick mud, softness and some standing water. It’s not unrideable, you’ll get dirty - but it could probably use a day like today to dry out.

    Chimney Rock Conditions

Saw the first 2 kids/teens on Thursday - they were at the basketball courts - I didn't actually see them on the trails at all, but with the gate being closed, I'm pretty sure they didn't take the road in. Saw the other 2 come up from Brookside - they rode right past and took the gravel path...

    Chimney Rock Conditions

It’s where you think!🤣 I know it’s all a work in progress, I didn’t mean disheartening that it was not dried out. I meant that others didn’t see it was still being worked on and try to avoid it. I love the work J and Kirk and the rest of the crew have put in, I’m in awe every time I go and...

    Chimney Rock Conditions

Mostly dry, the standing water areas from last week are now mud spots.. it’s not perfect, you’ll get dirty but that’s the way CR is. If you know the park and the usually messy spots to avoid, you’ll be good. This was discouraging though.. it’s part of the new area the hard working crew is...

    Chimney Rock Conditions

Wasn’t horrible, lots of standing water, but wasn’t really muddy.. irrelevant now since the skies just opened up.. I think tomorrow will be a mess but start drying out - maybe decent on Sunday.. maybe. 🤞🤞 The Middle Brook stream crossing was already running high before the rain, can’t imagine...
