Fingers crossed they can fix your cassette, at least you know the problem now if it happens again.
 
It wasn’t destroyed by any means but one ring was bent slightly causing a destructive ripping noise and slippage across the board ... I would think they could bend it back ? Tho it could get shitty from there if they aren’t spot on...
