The only Les Paul that I ever liked was one my friend had in High School, a black standard. Every one I've tried since did not live up. I agree with everything here except the Fender and Tube Amp part. A good strat plays amazing, and has a very unique sound, and I'll take a tube amp any day of the week over solid state. Cranking a tube amp is an awesome thing. The only solid state that I really liked was an old Randall RG-100 a friend had that sounded amazing, I wish I bought it off of him. I believe that's what Dime was playing at the time.

Was watching a YT regarding this "pedal" comparing versus the real thing. I could hear... I mean feel the difference in tone quality... I mean difference in build quality and weight. Doesn't sound... I mean feel the same.

How did I do here?
 
I believe @stb222 will resurrect the Fred discussion with the stickers on my bike!

I dunno if that's comparable to "Fred". But certain era/model chibsons are technically illegal to buy/sell so do some research before buying one.

If tube amps are bad I don’t want to be right. I’m apathetic towards my old Gibson’s, but I love my fenders. I’m a soapbar guy, have them in everything but the tele.
