OOS MOGA

Umm... not really.
I was comfortable in my bed while you guys were suffering pounding away your knees and ankles in the cold.
I consider that a win for me.
Not really, you'll have no one to ride with next year when we're all 9% body fat. We'll humor you with a couple of group rides and drop you from time to time. Cya dog

Actually today's run felt pretty crappy, I might have had a stroke, since my left leg and arm are both numb. Haha actually had it the prior day as the back/neck is acting up again. Jogging is good to loosen them up so I'll give it a go again tomorrow. Was ready to bag it after the first 1.3 miles but having the thought of Max beating me and Jason out of his comfort zone got me through the next 2. Thanks guys, that's what this is all about.

BTW: please tag me each time you post a run, cause even I can't keep track. So far have Max, Jason and I with one run each. Going to add two new rules.
(1) Must do one run each week or you're out!!!!
(2) Each run must be at least One Mile
So if you want in, gotta post a run by Sunday 11:59.9 PM.

I cant bring my phone on a soccer field i also dont think strava would do a good job tracking in such a small area
Play soccer without the phone, nothing worst that someone dropping their phone during a game
Add one day of running to your workout. I wished I had the time for a team sport. Thinking of Curling this winter... seriously

Brett talked me out of rugby on our second ride, I may try to do soccer but my schedule is tight once my son can do sports I'll coach and run with them.

You guys suck. I'm going to have to run twice as often to even keep in it at this rate.

And I hate running.
That's two of us, to be honest the first 2-3 weeks, you'll hate running more than stepping in a big pile of dog poo. But it does get easier and hopefully you'll start seeing dividends. The point of this challenge is for us to hit our target heart rates for X amount of time to improve conditioning and maybe even some weight loss. Most of us are only riding 1-2 times a week and though it may help with skills, it does practically nothing with conditioning. Don't listen to Paul, come Spring next year, we'll be doing climbs where our only barrier will be technical and not our lungs.

Walter is 100% here
Running will definitely help with cardio. Better cardio, you will have more fun on the trails.
For whatever its worth, it does a body good but from what I have read, you need to keep your heart rate up at least 30 minutes on your runs to see noticeable difference. Anything less than that, altho there will be improvements, they will be very gradual.

Eh... there will be new blood

EDIT
I don't mean to be a pessimistic f.... but some of you guys will get left back along with me lol

I know what you are trying to do and it is absolutely appreciated.
I just don't have the interest nor the time to train to race. I am fairly content right now with hanging out with the guys and having fun on the trails. I don't need to be lightning fast to enjoy the trails. If I fall behind in fitness and I can no longer keep up or be in the mid pack and I get drop from the fast group.... no feelings will be hurt. Does that mean I wont be out there? Absolutely not. I will be out there on the trails having fun.

Having said that, it would be awesome to see you guys race whatever cat you guys end up with and I hope to be there you when you do but that will be done from the sidelines.... and to heckle!
