Woof. Elite men/women $45. This makes sense for the 6 UCI races on that calendar but if you're trying to charge $45 for a local 1/2/3 Race I think I may puke.

Leader's Jersey rule has been in effect for a bunch of years...nothing new there. $45 is a bit of an oof for non UCI races indeed.
It's still fun as hell once you are racing but all the other stuff is becoming a bit much. I don't think the downward spiral is here yet but there are certainly some harbingers of doom. Remember when music went all "unplugged" in the early 90's after years of sold out stadium shows?
For me it really began the morning of that Craigmeur cross race, when I got a lecture about handups and that they would be enforcing this rule absolutely. For a minor cross race in north Jersey, it was a bit much. Double the effect is that I have known that USAC official for many years. Kind of nonsense and to me, that was really USAC sticking its nose into the small scale local stuff on a level that is totally unnecessary.
Are there any cross races that are non-USAC?
Hey, you people like to complain and complain when you don't recognize the effort that goes into running a race. If you think you can do it smarty pants you should try running a non-USAC cross race this year.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. [warning: cheesy realtor cliche misappropriation] the most important three things about organizing a cross race: venue. venue. venue. bring us viable venues and we can make an outlaw cross series happen.

No excuses for sleeveless, ever. I agree with the rule. Sleeveless tech jerseys are just tacky.

The Cooper River registration page has been updated to reflect that the event is now a MAC race.
And we're still waiting on the NJBA CX calendar...
This is a mountain bike forum, so most of us are into tacky sleeveless (darn that auto correct put sleepless 🙂. This may not have anything to do with cross, but auto correct may be the cause of hot flashes. .... Another reason for sleeveless, just saying. I do miss the cookie hand ups in cross.
Not to drag it on, but it wasn't even a jersey. It was a running shirt. Cat 5 bro.
