Self contained exterior wireless camera

I am looking for a camera system i can mount on a pole for my build in colorado that is self contained and that i can monitor from my phone / computer . I do not have any internet there as of now , Do things like this exist ? any help would be great . Thx
 
I do have cell service , yes on night vision , maybe a pic every 30 mins , I would like to have the data stored so it's accessible, I would mount it on my power pole and yes it does have power but it would be easy to disable , that's why I would want solar , it would be nice if I could just log on to a link for the vid , it more for peace of mind which is very important to me so cost is really not an issue .
 
Yes the pole has a meter and outlets ( temp power ) I would want to mount it 15 ft up so it would catch the driveway and home . time lapse would work
 
My company used self contained battery operated cameras that utilized a VZW air card. We mounted them to existing light poles. They were linked to a condo associations website allowing homeowners to log in and see my guys plowing during snow storms.

It did not store any of the video; just allowed people to view us working in real time.

I can ask if we still have them as we haven't done this in a few years.

Thx burke i would need a solar powered init , unless it could be converted ?
 
How much video are you looking to capture?

How much video are you looking to capture? I think your list of requirements may be a little ambitious.

The camera, and the hook up to the mobile network is the easy part. The power is the hard part.

I know hunters use something like you're describing. Ive seen them in the woods. But I think they are battery powered so they will be limited.
 
i have a battery powered game cam - it can be hooked to power.
so the trick is to have a solar charging a battery, and have it hooked to power
cause if it needs to be in an environmental enclosure it is either going to bake
or freeze - that is going to require real electric.

at that point it probably could be alarmed if the power is cut off - or if you can't get to the camera for
more than 30 minutes.

hard wire the outlet up high, without a switch, in the enclosure. use a metal conduit.
the cameras have 128gb or more of space on a card - so local storage,
with the ability to put lower res pics into the cloud (time lapse, or motion detection)

one other item is the ability to pan/tilt/zoom??

or the ability to fire a laser at intruders...

Hopefully Burke can come up with something interesting.
 
What does the weather channel use for their highway cameras? They run all year long to get some sweet snow covered road footage in the winter. Get those.

Moose, bobcat, Lynx, big cats , bear , coyotes , elk , actually there is a heard of elk 300 roughly that live around the canyon. I just missed them last year crossing a road , the snow was 30 inches deep and after they went through it was a 30 ft path that looked like it was plowed . Really neat to see against the landscape .
There is a reason I am not allowed to have stairs on my upper deck leading to ground level .
 
Elk on the deck would be a rude awakening! What do you drive around there to deal with that snow? Brodozer? Subaru?
