What have you done to your bike today?

Further ghettoization of the utah/pearl cx machine now known as niterider. New avid shorty brakes and purple bar tape to match the purple cables. Did a shit job on the tape (my first attempt) but good enough

Looks nice.

Do the wheels have some sort of rim light and battery pack on the hub?

You know what I DIDN'T do this weekend? Finish swapping my mukluk parts onto my Beargrease frame. You know why? Because Salsa spec'd a 140mm rear rotor! WTF!?!?!?!😡

So now it's between getting a 140 or a spacer to build it up for the 160. Who am I kidding I'm going with the 160 in back. 😵

Update: Tripp from Halter's helped me sort out my 140-160 issue. I put a fork 180 post mount bracket reversed orientation on the rear and we're golden.😀

pulled out a token from my fork. man.. after the sag adjust and dropping down to two tokens the fork feels so much more plush. going to try slowing down the rebound so i dont ping off roots as often since i can use a little bit more of the travel to play with now.

Replaced the stock dark/clear plastic Wellgo platform pedals with a nice set of Wellgo MG1s. Worked very well today, but the pins bit me in the calf a couple of times. 🙁

Over the last month I have done carbon Renthal Lite bars, Ergon grips, a 2.4 Maxxis Ardent front tire(to cushion the rigid a bit?), a carbon truvativ noir T30 seatpost and 2 Giant bottle holders.

Packed a spare tube in a plastic bag and Velcroed it under my seat. After last weekends fiasco patching a tube on the trail is out for me. I'll replace it on the trail and patch it at home.

Still might be a good idea to pack a patch kit in case you get a second flat! I'd rather bring a patch kit than bring a second tube - especially a fatty tube.

I pulled the top seals on my fork and cleaned/re-lubed the wipers. Nice smooth action returned!

Also decided to switch over to my 2.7" DH tires for a little more comfort and Winter anticipation...

I just did something similar. I installed a 2.4 ardent on front and gonna do one on rear...hopefully better in snow/soft stuff and heavier for training. Going to run a tall gear as much as I can on the ss and build a light wheel set with narrow tires for racing.

I made a hard turn, and after that it wasn't riding right and wasn't tracking straight. Thought it was just a bent rim, so when I got home I inspected and found the bent frame. Good old Wal-Mart special mongoose lol

New bike.... New bike!!!!! I love spending other people's money. 😀

That's awesome! I love the moonie as well, I regret selling mine, wish I kept it for the deep snow.

Here's a picture of my old ride!

Nice! I have the Moonlander and a Trek Farley, I love 'em both! Moonlander is more of a plod along and climb anything bike for me and the Farley is my run and jump around bike. It would be hard to choose between them. I do like Jim's new S Works though.
