Choosing Pedals

Could anyone respond on this ---> I have a lead on a set of the Shimano XT Trails (PD-M785), USED - what would a used set of these be worth?

i dunno i find it very uncomfortable to ride with sneakerson my 785's..

otherwise, i have only ever ridden shimano. zero regret. only reason was i was told that crank brother pedals are more prone to unclipping on pedal strikes when riding due to their design. my xts currently prove how bad i ride and how often i hit rocks unfortunately..

my clipless life for mtbs are the following
M737, 20 yrs ago inherited from my brother and put in on my Gary Fisher which never saw dirt
when I started riding mtb last year got a pair of CB eggbeaters because they are the easiest to unclip
but as @jumpa says, will unclip with some hits and tough climbs

I'm current back to flats again as I need to work on other elements of riding without the distractions of unclipping
will go back shortly to the eggbeaters later in the year, but sure I'll be moving to something else before end of year

CB mallet 3s IMO are the closest to best of both worlds

I have a set of CB candy 2's with cleats. They have 2 rides on them (1 JH, 1 RW), have scratches but work.

They're up for grabs $30 + shipping. Will post pictures later today.

Going back to my M530s. I like the positive click I get from my shimano SPDs.
