That Mooch H2H Race now has an Endurance Class

Just wrote to Bikereg, so's it can be official-like, but I'd LOVE to switch to the Endurance class. For no good reason whatsoever.

Damn it...just when I thought I might have that weekend figured out...you go and create an amazing event like this. I hate you all.

The endurance class sounds interesting - just the thing to clear out the cobwebs of winter!

Edit: Just signed up for the endurance class...I should probably do some riding now...lol

I'm a beginner with strong cardio but weak technical skills and wondering if I should do the endurance class... here's a couple questions...

1) Can you sign-up with only a one day USAC membership?
2) How technical is the trail?
3) Is the race decided by how far you go in exactly 4 hours or by your finish time for a set distance course that takes approximately 4 hours?

Thanks!

1) no usac lisence needed to race
2) moderately technically. Where do you normally ride?
3) it is based on how many laps you complete in four hours, you must start you last lap before the four hour mark.

Thank you for the help. I ride at Allaire State Park. My first and only mtb race was last year's H2H Lewis Morris Challenge (Cat 2 group). I really want to race more, but I'm afraid of getting in over my head. Less worried about the endurance piece and more worried about potentially getting hurt or just pissing off other racers.

Well, definitely more rocks than either Allaire or LM. I would not worry about pissing off other riders, just be aware of people coming up on you and let them pass.

Will there be a spot to keep a drop bag for extra bottles or gear we might need during the endurance event?
