MTBNJ Short Track Race #1

i may go up and do a couple park ride.....could be there as early as 9:00, but probably 10:00
Couple parking lot rides nothing up here rideable... Unless you want to do multiple one mile laps.

think i'll wait until next week. make sure we are packing down the final track....

If I have a dogsled, but instead of dogs I used 8 humans to pull me....will that be allowed in open class?

Asian/godzilla so stereotyping, do Koreans even know that Kong lost to Godzilla?

Remember when winter used to last for like 4wks. We'd get one or two snowstorms but the snow would melt within 2 days and it would be 50 degrees by the weekend. I remember riding places like Ringwood, Jungle, Wayway, or Mooch every wknd in the winter a few years ago. I'm not complaining about this, the cold snowy weather has been great for XC skiing. It just seems weird how different the weather has been the last 2 years. April has become the new March.

I met Segundo out on at the camp tonight for some laps of the course....Borrowed his other fat bike that luke wants to buy.... I wanted to make sure everything was on the up and up with it before luke bought it....Got in a lap or two on it before I flatted both tires....oh well. 🙂

So I hopped on the scalpel and we did a bunch of laps to test out the course. Its not ready yet, but its definitely getting there. According to strava I averaged between 8.5-9mph, so its pretty fast I felt anyway. When its done, its going to be an absolute blast.

Do you have any scientific comparison that proves fat bikes are better in the snow?

heard that scalpels are huge in central america.

I had setup the new tires tubeless but didn't have Stans, so I re-used a little left over from the D5's when I took them out. They bike has been sitting in my garage with 3-4 psi on the tires and they looked fine. I guess they didn't seat/seal well, so I'm going to fix that for the next session.

BTW, in those 2 laps Joe did on the 907 he was getting away from me (and with platform pedals!). After he switched to the Scalpel it was the other way around 😀
