Interesting read. They did a survey last year and estimate a population just in the sourlands of over 11,700 after spring birthing - density of 134 per square mile.

Cliff notes: too many damn deer - they are destroying the natural habitat and are dangerous to human drivers (and Kevin can attest to bikers as well). Non-lethal control methods are expensive and don't work well, so get out your guns and start shooting

we need to open it up for some hunting. surprised to see that car accidents involving deer has dropped. the population must be maturing? the nova special on whitetail deer in the northeast is worth watching. the young deer just dart out in the streets. the older deer learn to look both ways.

eventually disease will take care of the herd, so lets just wait until we see dead deer laying everywhere
