What else did it say beyond just the population?

Cliff notes: too many damn deer - they are destroying the natural habitat and are dangerous to human drivers (and Kevin can attest to bikers as well). Non-lethal control methods are expensive and don't work well, so get out your guns and start shooting
 
At the rate we cut down forests to build developments and strip malls, the problem should work itself out naturally.

we need to open it up for some hunting. surprised to see that car accidents involving deer has dropped. the population must be maturing? the nova special on whitetail deer in the northeast is worth watching. the young deer just dart out in the streets. the older deer learn to look both ways.

eventually disease will take care of the herd, so lets just wait until we see dead deer laying everywhere
