Mooch Madness! Racing at Allamuchy Returns!

Peyman, Dont overthink it, this is your park. The race loop isnt half as technical or steep as some of the stuff your training on. We like the tech but this is fun and flowy with no hardcore climbs. As long as you pace yourself, drink a bottle per lap and some food and gels, you'll have a great experience. Your a strong rider but just keep telling yourself its a long race dont chase.

I will try and track you down and ride a lap or two with ya. Maybe Thurs since the roadies in the shop.
Thanks for the encouraging words! Since Thursday seems to be a washout, I was thinking of taking a half day tomorrow and retry for four hours.

Ok, million dollar question, how much rain will we get on Saturday night for whoever is camping?! Wouldnt be Allamuchy without a night of rain. Maybe Hurricane Irene will be coming into town? I can just see this, a typical Sunday afternoon, lugging a wet tent home........

Irine wont get here till the middle of next week. We will get some summer storms, no big deal. I have a huuuuuge tarp.

Just remember, it ALWAYS rains in Allamuchy. I think the site was built on some Indian burial ground. Great riding but the place is totally cursed with rain. I'm bringing tarps, triple seam sealing my tent. I might actually bring my 4 season tent this time to be sure. Better yet, I might bring a Winnabago with satellite hookup and a flat screen.

It didn't rain in 2008 or 2010 and the forecast looks great!

It can rain all it wants after say 3:00. Actually, I hope it is nice as hell for the race and pours non stop after I leave.

Maybe they could have stations at the top of the climbs with music blasting, hehehe....Or maybe just a guy with a megaphone calling you a wuss to get you to pedal faster.
