Bouldering spots

There is a lot of bouldering activity at the Sourland Mountain Preserve, which is in central Jersey, but not near Red Bank.
 
there's nothing around red bank. like jeff said, the sourlands is your best bet. princeton has some climbing around that has sketchy access, and its the same rock that the sourlands has. there are also a few spots in hunterdon county, but hunterdon made climbing illegal everywhere.

the remainder of the legal stuff is up north.
 
shes from north jerz anyway we just got stuck with her.... there is an indoor place near red bank forget the name buts its right off 105 on the parkway iirc
 
Gravity vault is the best indoor gym(in nj anyway), both of them


one is in chatham the other is upper saddle river


I climb at south mountain(hemlock falls) , its not legal, but its not enforced like it is at trailside area of watchung. Its more so you cant claim injury bc you shouldnt have been doing it anyway.
 
yeah theres some good spots to boulder in essex county. Mills reservation and eagle rock ive been frequenting...i do need to check out south mountain

if you haven't checked out garrett yet you should if you are in that area. that's got some decent stuff in it. access is sketchy, and sometimes so are the other park visitors. right by that is rifle which has a couple slabs worth bouldering on to.

south mountain and watchung (illegal here) have some good stuff. watchung has a lot of overhung/burly boulder problems compared to a lot of the thin/slopey lines at the sourlands.
 
anyone know of a cave in Jungle Habitat? i heard through somebody that there might be a cave with a bunch of problems up..

its good without the ice lol

i projected one route in there..id call it a V3...juggy but with long throws. there are some HARD projects in that cave waiting to be finished by some strong climbers.

on my ride around lake hopatcong today i saw a few good boulders just waiting for some climbers and a pad...will have to hit those up this summer
 
its in a pretty out of the way spot..so i doubt anyone would bother you. if the weather is good were gonna hit it up saturday

I don't think any of those morons are from NJ...
