Hartshorne Conditions?

heartshorne is a great place to ride. there is some challenging terrain- climbs and descents. next time you go send me a pm id love to hit it up again.

and good job! its not the easiest place to ride, pretty god for your third time riding. those pointers help you out? ha ha!!

onetrack - just keep riding.

and since youre located in Red Bank - just keep going to Hartshorne. It will only make you stronger. and you'll get stronger more quickly riding at Hartshorne than Allaire.

you'll be making the hills before you know it - with the exception of that "impossible hill" - which I assume is the hill you hit going clockwise on Laurel Ridge - the one with all the sand, roots and loose rocks, right? that one is the by far the toughest one in the park. and due to erosion, it gets tougher every year.

Any locals out there with a guesstimation:hmmm:

Spence, im like 20 min. north and my guesstimation is that its probably not that good. It poured at my house until about 10 last night, I mean poured. Hopefully someone in the neighborhood can give an actual report with some better news.

Yeah, I'm about 10 miles south of there, and it rained pretty hard last night, though I assume conditions were prime going into Friday night, so it might not be unridable. There will surely be some standing water in spots, and Rocky Point will be muddy.

I'm 5 miles south and it was pouring 😉. I might venture out Monday if it stays warm with rain reports coming in for Tues/Wed

Conditions..

Anyone ride here today?? Thinking about heading down tom. morn...wondering how wet things are.

The woods have had a couple of days sunshine and wind. I plan on getting to Buttermilk Valley today by 4PM. I'll be the grey stubbled guy on an old looking green SS.

The trails are in OK condition. The usual wet spots were, wet. Things will be better after a day or two more like we had today.

I'll be at buttermilk at around 0700 tomorrow morning. I'll be taking a small wheeled geared bike for its maiden voyage.

hmm .. i may be in if i can get up .. i have a feeling it'll be one of those 3 hour sleep nights :drooling:

will post up here before 6am if i'm coming .. otherwise it means i'm sleeping

While it has nothing to do with Hartshorne, I'm aiming for CR at 7:30 or so for a reasonable spin. That's if you want to travel slightly less far this morning. Of course we'll also be out Saturday morning.
